THE BORDERERS GETUP! FOR THEIR FIRST SHOWS IN ADELAIDE SINCE RETURNING FROM OVERSEAS TOUR
The BordererS have just returned from a very successful tour of Singapore & Denmark. It went so well that other European Festival Directors have already signed them up for 2008. This has been a very successful year for the band who first got together in 1994. The BordererS have won the Independent Music Award in the US, performed at the Byron Bay Blues & Roots Festival and have a Top 10 album on the Country Music Charts.

The band will now perform their first shows in Adelaide starting on Thurs Oct 18th at The Wheatsheaf Hotel. This will be a 4 week residency but each Thursday will have a different theme i.e. Bluegrass / World / Blues & Roots and they'll feature Surprise Special Guests.

The BordererS new single: "Love Is The Answer" is featured on the BordererS latest CD: "A Time For Change". It's also the opening track on a new compilation album called: "Stand Up & Shout!" This album will be launched on the 18th & 25th Oct with all the royalties from sales going towards "GetUp!"

"GetUp!" is a fine example of 'people power'. Already they've fought to demand justice for David Hicks, help halt climate change, secure ABC funding and tried to stop the detention of refugee children - They're a movement that's putting people back into politics.

"GetUp!" has also something the corporate lobbyists, right-wing pundits and even the political parties themselves don't: numbers. With more than 160,000 , they have the power to influence party rooms and press galleries and fight for the issues we care about. If you wish things were different but don't know what to do about it; or dread the idea of another election won or lost on self-serving agendas and backroom party deals then join GetUp!

The BordererS Win Independent Music Award in the USA.
The Borderers' Song "Sinner & The Saint" from the album "Grace" has just been awarded Winner of the Song - Gospel category in the 6th Annual Independent Music Awards in America.

The song was selected from the largest number of entries the program has received to date and judged by very distinguished panelists.

The promotion that goes along with the prize is staggering. 9 million people will hear the IMA Winners CD via Borders Bookstores and a formal press release will be serviced to US national & regional print, television and radio outlets. The Press release will also be available to international outlets via distribution to the wire services.

eMusic, the cool indie-friendly digital download site that features more than 2 million songs, will also be promoting program winners in 11 of its e-newsletters throughout 2007. The site is also making the IMA promotional CD available for digital download to its current subscribers and new members.
